MOUNT FINCH SCHOOL
By early 1893, Mount Finch School enrolment had dropped to eight
(8) pupils. The Council of Education decided to close the school from 8th
March 1893. After the closure seven (7) pupils from that school travelled
daily to attend the Dairy Arm School.
Teachers-in-Charge at Mount Finch School have been:-
Margaret Kenny 24th July 1884
Mount Finch School regressed in status to 'Half-time'
School with Dairy Arm School on 28th May 1885.
Mount Finch School elevated to 'Provisional School'
status from 25th June 1889.
Kate Arthur 25th june 1889
Mount Finch School regressed in status to 'Half-time'
School with Dairy Arm School on 8th February 1890.
Alexander Lochrin 8th February 1890
Until Mount Finch School closed on 8th March 1893.
