on 4th June 1890 for a fee of £18.2.0 ($36.20), erected a new tank stand,
attached new pipes and cleaned other areas where necessary.
The school land was re-dedicated and re-gazetted on 4th August 1891.
A mistake was found in the original land description in the gazettal on 2nd
December 1881. A fresh survey was made by surveyor Tucker.
In late February 1891 and early March 1892, the school attendance
was 'nil' due to the vintage season.
On 26th September 1893, Miss E.Kempe, the Department of Public
Instruction architect, found that an application to remove dampness and to
repaint some rooms of the school residence, was warranted. She estimated
that it should cost £40.0.0 ($80.00). This was the quote by the successful
contrac t crs, Jarratt and Holden of Hall Street Merewether.
A new detached wash-house, ten (10) feet by eight (8) feet and also
a bat hr oom were added to the residence on 4th March 1895. In addition, some
repairs were made to the school by contractor James Russell of Branxton.
For this work he was paid £31 .15.0 ($63.50). On 2nd October 1896, George
Russell of Branxton, was paid £24.0 . 0 ($48.00) for adding an additional
bedroom to the residence. Some repairs were made to the school on 17th
December 1898 by J.C. Griffen of Branxton. His quote had been £14.0.0
($28. 00).
On 27th Marc ~ 1900, Andrew W. Hutchinson of Pokolbin, constructed
a new weathershed. For this he was paid £40.0.0 ($80.00). On 2nd July 1906,
he also made some minor repairs at the school and in addition, he re-built
the W.C's. His reward was £12.10.0 ($25.00). On 15th October 1907, the
Public Works staff made some renovations to both the school and the residence,
plus repainting and refencing. Their work was valued at £100.6.0 ($200.60).
A petition requesting the removal of the teacher, Mr. Charles Frappe,
was org3nised by Messrs. J. Pinchen and Matthews. There were even threats of
