The Department estimated that repairs, including re-flooring the weathershed,
would cost £179.0.0. ($358.00). When the Departmental works staff completed
the project on 4th September 1929, the costs were assessed at £158.0.0. ($316.00)
To allow a manual class to operate, a work bench was conveyed from
Kurri to Wollombi on 25th Marc~ 1931, by Teacher J.C. Slack.
Permission was give~ to the Wollombi School Board by the Education
Department on 14th February 1935, to light the school residence with 12 volt
power from storage batteries charged by a petrol engine.
The Education Department's work staff did some repair work piece~eal
and it was finally completed en 4t~ January 1933. The project had been estimate
to cost £283.7.4. ($566.74), but on completion the actual costs were £353.16.3.
($707.63). Some of the work ~ad included replacing the water storage tank
with an 800 gallon container, and renewing the g'.lttering and down pipes.
Essential repairs were ~ade to the Wollombi School teacher's residence
and were completed by the Departmental works staff on 5th December 1941. These
repairs were assessed to have cost £393.5.1. ($725.51). The school fencing
was renewed or replaced and ~as ccmpleted by the works section on 5th December
1958. The fencing repairs ~ere valued at £259.3.8. ($518.88).
A new bathroom was ~art of the general renovations compl~ted on 2lsf
