tragedy and sadness on 17th October 1950, when the school building was destroyed
by fire. The Mulbring School of Arts Hall in Palmer Street, Mulbring, was
leased as a temporary school.
The Education Department's work staff erected a "double-fixed" class-
room with necessary storage and office accommodation plus a new water storage
tank. Costs for this project were valued at £2,057.11.5 ($4,115.15). The
new schoolhouse was completed and occupied on 2nd October 1951. Some eight
years later in 1959 this Departmental section again made some renovations,
refencing and repainting at Mulbring School and residence. These works were
assessed as costing £1,270.0.0. ($2,540.00).
