HEDDON GRETA SCHOOL

With a continued drop in school enrolment numbers, the Education
Department officially closed the school on 24th February 1969. Kurri carrier
Mr. B.V. Wilson, for a charge of £15.0.0 ($30.00), transported the Heddon
Greta school material and furniture from Heddon Greta school to Kurri
Primary School.

The Education Department revoked its title to the site. The area
was sold by the Lands Board on 29th May 1973.
