CESSNOCK HIGH SCHOOL
A School Council was formed in 1977. The pupils elected were:-

The Parents and Citizens Association was formed with the introduction
of the new school. The first Executive Officers were:-
Mr. A.J. Yeatman President
Mrs. E. Price Secretary
Mrs. E. Sellars Treasurer
The Association has played a very full role in the activities of
the school. It has provided many items that were unable to be supplied by
the Education Department.
An interesting feature of the Association is the very long and
dedicated service given by some of its members. President Alan Watson has
held this position since 1962. Treasurer Ces Anstey has had this office since
1948. The current Secretary, Mr. W.f. "frank" Grosse, became the secretary
the year after he had retired as headmaster of the school in 1973.
