Evaluation and reflection
Evaluating a source of information means comparing it with other similar sources.
Ask yourself:
- Does the source provide any new material or different interpretations of existing knowledge?
- Does it help you understand or extend your understanding of important issues?
You should also reflect on any benefit (or otherwise) you received from spending your time reading and analysing the source.
Finally, would you recommend the source to other students in your course and indicate why you would or would not recommend it.
