in 1955 were estimated to cost £1 ,550.0.0 ($3,100.00), but the actual
repairs to the school and residence were assessed at a total of £1,655.7.7
($3,310.77).

On 21st November 1966, the Minister of Education granted
authority for the school and residence at Buchanan to be sold, see Papers
(No. 62/N38-28219). The building and site were purchased by A.R. Mc Tackett
of Nelson Bay for £1,500.0.0 ($3,000.00) on 6th June 1967.
