6. Method of investigation
In addition to providing a description of the sources of data, and the data gathering process, you should also indicate why the particular sources and processes were used.
Importantly, you should support the validity of the process with reference to acceptable practice, usually from the literature.
In describing the method of investigation, you should provide sufficient detail for the reader to:
- assess the validity of your methodology
- judge whether the results can be generalised
- conduct a replication study.
