Reflective journals: Introduction
A reflective journal is a written record of your thoughts and observations about your learning within a course.
Reflective journals (sometimes referred to as 'learning journals') should be written in regularly as you proceed throughout your course.
Your lecturer may require you to keep a learning journal as part of your coursework, in order for you to:
- Record your development as you progress throughout the course
- Enhance your learning experiences and your ability to understand and process course material, such as readings.
Reflective journals act as a record of what you have learned and can be very useful for revising prior to examinations or other end of course assessments.
